Mags joined Traidcraft plc as Director of Operations in 2004 having spent 12 years in various engineering and senior commercial roles within the oil and chemical industry in the North East of England. Mags holds a masters degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London, and an MBA from  Durham University. She first became involved in trade justice issues whilst a student, organizing fair trade stalls in her University Union building. Mags took up the role of Business Director for Traidcraft plc in January 2008. Traidcraft plc was established in 1979 and has experienced significant growth in recent years and is now the UK's leading fair trade company.
