As Head of Web Development Strategy at TUI Travel plc, George is responsible for coordinating the web developments of the mainstream brands of TUI Travel UK and Ireland, including Thomson and First Choice. He was previously responsible for the definition and delivery of a complete replacement of the transactional (search and book) aspects of www.thomson.co.uk, the UK's leading travel website, which allowed a merging of Thomson's standard package holidays with those built in real-time from components, enabling the customer a greater choice of holidays. Prior to this role he has undertaken consultancy engagements on key ecommerce projects for the likes of NTL, B&Q, Argos, Comet, Waitrose and ASDA.
